EAV Assessment

Also known as electroacupuncture biofeedback, EDS2000 was developed out of the research of a German medical doctor, anatomy professor, and acupuncturist, Dr. Reinhold Voll. Since the 1940, research has established that acupuncture points possess electrical conductivity. Dr. Voll was able to scientifically document that in the human body, there are higher levels of electrical conduction (or areas of less resistance) at certain points on the skin, many of which correspond to traditional acupuncture points. He compared the acupuncture point measurement of healthy individuals to those who had diagnosed diseases. He found that the electrical conductivity of acupuncture points associated with the disease conditions were outside the normal healthy range. This technique of using meridian and acupuncture points to gather information about the body was originally and still is sometimes called “Electro-Acupuncture according to Voll,” or EAV.

Advantages

  • Non-invasive, painless and harmless
  • No long waiting period. Assessment results are available after testing
  • Optimizing health and preventing future health problems more efficiently as the assessment provides a direction on proper self-care and healthcare management
  • Evaluates nutrition needs for better personalized diet recommendation
  • Follow-up based on the data of the machine for better understanding on the improvement of your health

There are many researches supporting the EAV technology. For example, in 1985, Dr. Sullivan at the UCLA School of medicine reported in the American Journal of Acupuncture that patients with lung disease had 30% lower electrical conductivity readings at lung acupuncture points. Acute diseases affect the electrical charge and water content of the cells and the pH of extra-cellular fluids, thereby influencing cell membrane potential and tissue conductivity. Another example, Dr. Julia Tsuei and Fred Lam, at the University of Hawaii, have published at least two dozen papers establishing the correspondence of EAV readings with physiological disturbances.
